What We Expect

All community members should:

• Follow all applicable laws while using our platform

Prohibited Content & Behavior

The following are strictly not allowed on Texas Chat:

• Harassment and bullying: Any form of targeted abuse, threats, or intimidation
• Hate speech: Content that attacks others based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, orientation, or disability
• Explicit content: Pornographic material or sexually explicit conversations
• Illegal activities: Promotion or facilitation of illegal acts
• Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else or misrepresenting yourself
• Spam and advertising: Unsolicited promotional content or commercial messages
• Scams and fraud: Attempting to deceive or financially exploit other users
• Personal information sharing: Sharing others' private information without consent
• Recording without consent: Capturing or distributing conversations without all parties' permission
• Underage use: Users must be 18+; do not mention or imply being underage

Content & Conversation Standards

To foster positive interactions:

• Keep conversations friendly: Engage in light, enjoyable dialogue
• Respect preferences: If someone isn't interested in continuing a conversation, accept their decision gracefully
• No solicitation: Don't ask for money, gifts, or favors
• Be mindful of topics: Avoid controversial or potentially offensive subjects unless you know the other person is comfortable
• Use appropriate language: Avoid excessive profanity or vulgarity

Account Guidelines

Regarding your account:

• One person, one account: Accounts are for individual use only
• Accurate information: Provide truthful details during registration
• Account security: Keep your login credentials confidential
• No automation: Do not use bots or automated tools to access the platform
• Age requirement: You must be 18 or older to use Texas Chat

Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

• Content removal: Violating content may be deleted
• Temporary suspension: Account access restricted for a period
• Permanent ban: Account termination for severe or repeated violations

All enforcement actions are at the discretion of our moderation team. We consider the severity, frequency, and context of violations when determining appropriate action.

Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines:

• Use the in-app "Report" feature for immediate reporting
• Provide as much detail as possible in your report
• Our team reviews reports promptly and takes appropriate action

Appeals

If your account has been suspended or banned and you believe it was in error, you may appeal by contacting our support team. Include your username and explain why you believe the action was mistaken. We review appeals carefully.

Changes to Guidelines

These guidelines may be updated periodically to address new issues or improve community standards. Continued use of Texas Chat after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
